About Us

Prom Genie II, Inc. is a non profit organization that provides ALL free prom dresses, shoes, and accessories to high school students in Hammond, Indiana and the surrounding Northwest Indiana area. We are an all volunteer organization that operates off of donations from dress shops, the public, and sponsorships. ​

Prom Genie II, Inc. was incorporated following the dissolution of Prom Genie, Inc.   The volunteer staff of Prom Genie II experienced first hand for 11 years the need for students and parents to have this charitable organization available to assist them with their prom needs and felt the need to continue offering this service within their community under Prom Genie II. The incorporation of Prom Genie  II will allow students to have the highly inflated cost and financial challenges associated with attending prom offset. ​Prom is a once in a lifetime experience that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy and create life long memories.

Prom Genie II offers the opportunity for eligible graduating high school senior girls to apply for a scholarship to assist with college expenses that traditional scholarships do not cover. We also provide educational resources, and promote participation in community, civic, and social activities within Northwest Indiana.​​
